Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Bartender to join our professional and hardworking team. Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.

• £12.42per hour, depending on experience
• Full time permanent position 40 hours per week worked over 5 days mainly evening shifts and weekends
• Shifts between 12.30 to 00.00
• Greet guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Answer all queries about the menu including drinks and make suggestions
• Take ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergies
• Set up the dining areas and process charges and payments
• Effectively communicate with managers and all colleagues
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures

• Experienced bartender
• Knowledge of traditional cocktails and spirits
• Experience with handling guest queries and complaints
• Natural passion and flair for the industry and food
• A calm mature approach
• Ambition to succeed at the highest levels
• Dedicated team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative when needed
• Willing to learn new things
