Our Volunteer Stock Sorters play a vital role in helping The Air Ambulance Service turn generous donations into lifesaving funds.

Working behind the scenes in our Rugby Hub, you’ll help sort, prepare and organise donated items ready for sale in our charity shops. Every item you process helps generate the income needed to keep our helicopters flying and our critical care teams responding when every second counts.

Whether you’re looking to meet new people, gain retail experience or simply give back to your community, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.

As part of our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, our people are encouraged to get involved in our internal EDI networks, which provide opportunities to connect, share experiences and help to shape a more inclusive workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Sort through donated clothing, accessories, books, homeware and other items.
  • Assess donations to ensure they are suitable for sale and meet our quality standards.
  • Organise and prepare stock for pricing and display within our charity shops.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and organised stockroom.
  • Assist with moving, storing and rotating stock where required.
  • Work alongside retail staff and fellow volunteers to maximise the value of every donation.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
  • Represent The Air Ambulance Service positively through your commitment and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A positive, friendly and flexible attitude.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to undertake light manual handling tasks.
  • Reliability and a commitment to supporting the charity.
  • A passion for helping The Air Ambulance Service continue its lifesaving work.
What’s In It For You:

At TAAS, you’ll be part of a passionate and committed charity that’s making a real difference every day. We value professionalism, compassion and teamwork — and we’re proud of our inclusive, supportive culture.

Whether it’s supporting emergency services from behind the scenes or helping shape the future of our leadership, you’ll play a crucial role in helping us save lives.
