Julia's House is recruiting a Shop Manager to run its Broadstone Store, a charity shop. The role centres on driving sales and profit through a team of staff and volunteers, with day-to-day running of the shop and a strong focus on customer service. The working pattern is 30 hours over four days between Monday and Saturday, and the post needs a full driving licence and use of a vehicle for business.
Retail experience is essential; charity experience is not.
- Lead a team of staff and volunteers to maximise shop sales and profits
- Lead and manage the day-to-day shop operation
- Exceed customer expectations
- Engage and motivate staff and volunteers effectively
- Maintain a productive and well-presented shop
- Provide leadership across all aspects of team management
- Sound retail experience and knowledge
- Excellent people management skills
- Awareness of Health & Safety compliance
- Planning, organising and communicating effectively
- Sound judgement
- Working under pressure
- Full driving licence and use of a vehicle for business purposes
- Flexibility
- Charity retail experience
