Reporting to the Sales Director you will be held accountable for the development and growth of a suite of existing and potential new customers. Working as part of the Sales team to meet group targets on retention, growth and profitability.
The CompanyShropshire Stainless and Aluminium Ltd (SSA) is a UK multi-metals stockholder of stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and bronze products. Supplying a large range of customers across a varied supply chain, we deliver to the whole of the UK and Ireland from our Shrewsbury Headquarters with additional locations in Yate near Bristol & Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
Job Skills & Qualifications- Market knowledge or experience within the metals industry
- Proven track record in sales and negotiation
- Strong Commercial Awareness & Negotiation skills
- Customer Service Focus
- Strong Analytical Skills
- PC literate with a strong working knowledge of Windows-based applications.
- Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail
- A confident, ambitious individual who enjoys a challenge and is target-driven.

- Manage and develop suite of existing and new customers.
- Develop good customer relationships.
- Provide detailed and accurate forecasting for budgeting.
- Fully promote and actively research new business opportunities.
- Support company growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products distributed, including main specifications, applications, and sources of supply.
- Coordination of activities, both internal and external to ensure contract deliverables are achieved.
- Create a strong team ethic by promoting teamwork and togetherness.
- Support and encourage innovation and continuous improvements.
- Flexible working attitude to achieve results.
- Working Hours:
8.30 am-5.30 pm Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid break.
- A competitive starting salary depending on experience.
