Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Client Director, to proactively manage, retain and develop a portfolio of corporate clients with health-related products and services (including but not limited to Private Medical Insurance, Trusts, Employee Assistance Programme and Health and wellbeing services); thereby contributing to profitable growth and the achievement of Marketing and Distribution strategy, plans and targets. The role requires travel to AXA offices, client and intermediary premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop positive and valuable business to business relationships to deliver the retention and cross sales results across the range of products and services as set out in the sales plans.
  • Build annual and longer-term strategic account plans. Establish and develop strong multi contact relationships between Corporate Client organisations and relevant experts within AXA Health, as well as with associated Intermediaries to maximise retention rates and sell additional products and services. Achieve a minimum of 4 meetings with clients per annum – face to face preferred.
  • Build detailed understanding of each client’s organisation and proactively identify opportunities for further product and service sales across all AXA Health’s product and service lines. Secure face to face appointments, co-ordinating relevant specialists and departments as required, to carry out further needs analysis, present relevant high quality tailored proposals, lead negotiations and win new business.
  • Develop and maintain excellent and productive working relationships across the wider business, including the Sales and Marketing teams, Commercial, Finance and Membership, as well as broader AXA Health and partners including Spectrum Life as required. Understand the strategic and operational priorities of these areas to drive and influence their activities, ensuring teams work together in a consistent and complementary manner.
  • Provide and share ongoing customer, intermediary and market feedback with team members and the wider business, to input into and help shape ongoing proposition development.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of AXA Health’s products and services and those of competitors. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of trends within the corporate employee benefits and healthcare marketplaces and use these to proactively consult clients.
  • Act always in a professional and compliant manner ensuring all regulatory, compliance and treating customers fairly requirements are met.
Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven record of account management and development in a consultative, service selling environment.
  • Ability to meet annual targets and evidence of ability to develop and implement plans for longer term, 2-year to 5-year success.
  • Strong commercial and strategic awareness coupled with an understanding of the corporate business environment.
  • Understanding and experience of the corporate employee healthcare benefits market and the relationship between healthcare benefit provision, employee wellness and corporate performance.
  • Working knowledge of the range of health insurance and health and wellbeing products available both from AXA Health and in the marketplace.
