Job Overview
Applications are invited for a suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Immunology department at North Bristol NHS Trust, which provides a wide range of services to acute and primary care within the Bristol area and also provides a number of regional services.
Main DutiesProvide technical and scientific support for the Immunology and Immunodeficiency services. This encompasses Autoimmunity, Allergy, Para protein/Specialist Protein, Primary Immune Deficiency and the regional FIT screening service.
- Provide managerial support for all laboratory staff in Immunology, Immunodeficiency, Flow Cytometry, and Immunogenetics.
- Work with the Head of Service and Blood Sciences management team to provide an efficient and expert Immunology service for North Bristol NHS Trust.
- Postgraduate level qualification equivalent to Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, MSc or equivalent experience.
- Specialist training/experience in Immunology should include autoimmune serology, allergy and immunochemistry.
- At least 6 years post graduate experience and at least 2 years management experience.
