Logistics Security Officer

Pay rate: £13.23ph

Shifts: Various (to be discussed at interview)

Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

• Current SIA licence or SIA certificates (training for a licence can be provided in some circumstances).
• Full 5‑year checkable employment/education history.
• Reasonable level of PC skills.

• Deliver industry leading customer service.
• Conduct patrols of the depot.
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
• Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with the depot management teams.
• Deter theft, whether internal and/or external, and other poor working practices.
• Conduct searches (to be discussed at interview).
• Respond to any on‑site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager.
• Highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as required by the systems installed.
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview).
