Agency Social Worker – Children’s Social Care Front Door / Screening Team

We are seeking an experienced agency Social Worker to join a busy Children’s Social Care Front Door / Screening Team.

The role involves screening contacts and referrals, analysing information, applying thresholds and making timely recommendations to ensure children and families receive the right response at the right time.

• Screen and triage contacts and referrals relating to children and young people.
• Gather and analyse information from families, professionals and partner agencies.
• Apply safeguarding thresholds and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Record decisions, rationale and outcomes accurately and within timescales.
• Work effectively with Children’s Social Care, Targeted Family Help and multi‑agency partners.

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Recent experience in Children’s Social Care, ideally front door, MASH, screening, duty or assessment.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in threshold decision‑making.
• Ability to work at pace in a high‑volume environment.
• Excellent recording, analysis and communication skills.
