Position: Community Engagement Campaign Assistant- 12 week Fixed Term Contract Waste Company

SALARY: 26,277.50 per annum

HOURS: 37.5per week, Monday - Friday (with occasional weekend/evening work), 08:00-16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00 - Part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Purpose of the role:

You will play a hands-on, pivotal role in supporting residents to recycle more and waste less. You will assist with canvassing, delivering campaign literature and engaging with members of the public via doorstep conversations, to influence and create a positive impact on behaviours towards recycling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct guided doorstep conversations with residents to gather insights into behaviours and attitudes and provide relevant information on recycling
  • Accurately and promptly record information from resident conversations in a clear and structured manner
  • Distribute communication materials during engagements and deliver recycling containers, if required, following conversations
  • Maintain communication with point of contact, advising of progress, locations and any issues as required
  • Maintain paperwork and follow processes used to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the campaign delivery
Essential Requirements for the Role:
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences
  • Can multi-task and prioritise while interacting with members of the public
  • A knowledge of or interest in community engagement and sustainability
  • Experience interacting with members of the public
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
