Hoop Housing are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Housing Officer to join a busy Tenancy Management team!

Bristol
Hybrid working – 2 days from home £18.75 - £23.79ph
Ongoing contract

This is a great opportunity for an experienced housing professional to take responsibility for a designated patch and play a key role in supporting tenants, managing tenancies and helping to create safe, well-maintained communities.

What will you be doing?

You’ll manage tenancies from the start of the tenancy through to its end, while also taking responsibility for the general management of sites across your patch.

You’ll be a key point of contact for tenants, helping them sustain their tenancies, resolving issues and providing advice and support where needed.

The role will include:

* Managing a designated housing patch and caseload

* Dealing effectively with tenancy breaches, including anti-social behaviour and hate crime

* Handling complex tenancy matters, complaints and enquiries

* Working with tenants, residents and partner agencies to resolve issues

* Identifying support needs and helping tenants access appropriate support

* Organising and participating in multi-agency meetings, case conferences, resident groups and local projects

* Supporting local initiatives that improve the quality, safety and appearance of the patch

* Encouraging tenants to get involved and have a say in issues affecting their communities

* Providing guidance and support to colleagues around tenancy management

* Keeping IT and paper-based records accurate and up to date

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is confident managing their own caseload, enjoys working with people and isn't afraid to get stuck into challenging situations.

You'll need previous housing experience, a good understanding of tenancy management and the ability to work confidently with tenants, colleagues, elected members, partner agencies and other stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills, good organisation and the ability to come up with practical solutions are key.

A full driving licence is required, as the role involves visiting locations across the patch.

Interested?

If you're an experienced Housing Officer looking for an ongoing contract with a great hybrid working balance, we'd love to hear from you.
