Software Engineer - Developer Experience

We're building cutting‑edge AI accelerator solutions spanning hardware and software. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team, helping us scale fast, build smart, improve our internal developer experience, and shape how others interact with our accelerator.

Technology Stack: Python, C, C++23, Rust, System Verilog, Bazel, Git Hub Actions, Linux, Apple Silicon, RISC‑V, and more.

• Improving our developers’ day‑to‑day workflow.
• Creating the experience that will define how our customers interact with our accelerators.
• Finding solutions to ensure Bazel builds, the monorepo, and CI configuration scale as the company grows.
• Creating, debugging, and optimizing Bazel build rules.
• Contributing to upstream Bazel rules that we use.
• Managing and optimizing the CI compute cluster, and helping other teams with our compute clusters.
• Extending support for new languages and technologies.
• Working hybrid on‑site in a UK office (Bristol or possibly London), at least three days per week.

• 5+ years experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years experience with build tools.
• Experience building and maintaining advanced CI/CD pipelines for large‑scale products.
• Proficiency with Bazel.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with machine learning pipelines or large language models.
• Knowledge of Git Hub Actions and modern cloud services.
• Knowledge of build systems for complex, multi‑language projects.
• Strong background in containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
