SC Cleared - ADA Software Engineer

Rate: 68ph UMB (Inside IR35)

Role details:

Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an SC Cleared, Embedded Ada Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of cutting-edge command and control software for maritime missile systems.

• Engaging with the Systems team to discuss requirement changes and updates
• Participating in the entire software engineering lifecycle
• Ensuring high standards in coding, process, and documentation for safety-critical software
• Involvement with qualification and software releases
• Supporting the development of advanced maritime air defence systems

• Proficiency in Ada programming
• Security Clearance (SC) required to start
• Strong background in safety-critical software, ideally within defence, aerospace, rail, nuclear or medical sectors
• Experience with high standards of coding and thorough documentation

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with formal design methods and tools such as Doors, Dimensions, Rhapsody, UML, SysML, and Mascot
• Experience in developing applications on Linux systems and networking applications
