QA Engineer | Bristol | Permanent | Up to £60,000 DOE
Peaple Talent have partnered with an exciting AI Start-Up looking to recruit a QA Engineer to help safeguard the stability, performance, and overall quality of our AI-enabled communications platform.
In this role, you’ll collaborate across Backend, Frontend, Telephony, Dev Ops, and AI functions to validate sophisticated systems spanning web applications, APIs, real-time voice infrastructure, and intelligent conversational agents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive test approaches covering web interfaces, APIs, voice services, and AI-powered functionality.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing activities.
- Verify complete user journeys across frontend, backend, telephony, and AI components to ensure seamless operation.
- Create and maintain automated test frameworks for web and API layers.
- Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines to establish strong quality gates.
- Contribute to testing strategies tailored to real-time communication and AI-driven systems.
- Assess conversational AI interactions, prompt flows, and voice agent behaviour.
- Validate speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and intelligent call-routing accuracy.
- Monitor AI-driven agents in production-like environments, identifying inconsistencies or quality concerns.
- Partner with engineers and product managers throughout sprint cycles and release phases.
- Clearly document, reproduce, and track defects with detailed evidence and logs.
- Strengthen QA standards, documentation practices, and release-readiness processes over time.
- Proven experience testing web-based and API-centric platforms.
- Solid understanding of RESTful services, distributed architectures, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Postman, PyTest, or comparable frameworks.
- Familiarity with Ci/CD processes and Git-based development workflows.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and confident communication.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, cross-functional engineering environments.
- Exposure to telephony platforms, VoIP, WebRTC, or other real-time communication systems. (Desired)
- Familiarity with Ai/ML-driven applications, LLM-based tools, and monitoring solutions. (Desired)
- Basic scripting or coding capability in Python or JavaScript. (Desired)
- Experience with performance testing, load simulation, and monitoring solutions. (Desired)
