Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Asia Risk Consulting team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As the Business Engagement and AI Solutions Lead, you will drive the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade AI solutions for our Insurance broker risk consulting team. You will serve as the primary technical and business interface, bridging SME requirements with architectural excellence. You will design comprehensive AI/RAG capabilities, lead solution architecture, and partner with business stakeholders to translate priority use cases into production implementations.

This role combines technical architecture expertise, business engagement acumen, AI/ML innovation, and hands‑on delivery oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary business‑facing lead for the Insurance risk consulting team, running requirements workshops and capturing user stories with Risk Engineers and SMEs.
  • Produce high‑level architecture and component design for AI systems including ingestion, vector indexing, retrieval, LLM orchestration, backend APIs, frontend, storage, and monitoring.
  • Define AI/RAG approaches, create prompt engineering playbooks, and select technology choices aligned with Risk Consulting requirements.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, privacy, and governance standards, including PII handling and responsible AI practices.
  • Design UX flows and wireframes for onsite applications, collaborating with engineering teams on implementation.
  • Lead code and architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and maintain technical oversight during delivery.
Qualifications
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Python for AI/ML development and production‑grade coding skills; proficiency in at least one additional language such as Type Script, Java, Go, or Scala.
  • 12+ years of technology experience with significant hands‑on expertise in solution architecture, AI/ML engineering, and system delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in production enterprise environments.
  • Strong background in AI/ML frameworks, generative AI, retrieval‑augmented generation, NLP, and document intelligence.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills with proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead workshops.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
What makes you stand out
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Deep experience in insurance, financial services, or other heavily regulated industries with complex compliance requirements.
  • Hands‑on experience with speech‑to‑text, OCR, or image captioning services.
  • Published research, patents, or significant open‑source contributions in AI/ML.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through speaking engagements, technical blogs, or industry recognition.
  • Advanced MLOps and AI governance expertise including model versioning and experiment tracking.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as AWS ML Specialty, Azure Data Scientist, GCP Professional ML Engineer, or TOGAF.
Benefits
  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well‑being.
