Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a team delivering high-quality software on critical projects.

You will work as part of an Agile/Scrum team and be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging and deployment.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering high-quality Java applications

Writing unit, integration and feature tests

Working with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues

Creating and maintaining low-level technical designs and documentation

Supporting CI/CD and software delivery activities

Debugging, performance tuning and improving application reliability

Participating in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities

Contributing to digital transformation and wider engineering projects

What we’re looking forYou should have strong hands-on experience with:

Java and associated technologies

Spring Boot Unit testing, test automation and TDDDevOps tooling and CI/CD Debugging, profiling and performance tuning

Agile software delivery

Experience with Docker or other container technologies would also be beneficial.

We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a genuine desire to continue developing their technical knowledge.
