Delivery Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, are roadworthy, and operate within legal requirements including payload, tachograph, etc.
• Maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information are kept up to date.
• Motivate staff, hold regular monthly meetings, and produce minutes of these meetings.
• Instruct drivers on all aspects of the operation and vehicles, including procedures, quality, and security.
• Cover delivery routes during staff holidays and absences, as well as ad hoc volume drops.
• Manage and support an expanding electric vehicle (EV) fleet, contributing to a greener future.
• Organise and adapt to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Maintain a smart personal appearance.

• Hold a current full C1 driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
• Complete a CRB check.
• Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations in relation to the working time directive.
• Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers' hours regulations.
• Be team oriented.
• Basic PC skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
