7.5t Driver

TD Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver (C1) to join our client busy groundworks team working on council and road maintenance contracts in Bristol.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is happy to combine driving duties with on-site work as part of a small, reactive crew.

Key Responsibilities:

* Driving a 7.5 tonne rigid vehicle (tipper, hotbox, grab or beaver tail)

* Transporting materials such as tarmac, asphalt, aggregates, and waste

* Towing small plant (e.g. mini diggers or rollers) where required

* Supporting pothole repairs and general road maintenance works

* Assisting the team with loading/unloading and on-site tasks

* Attending reactive jobs including potholes, kerbs, and carriageway defects

Requirements:

* Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence

* CPC and Digital Tachograph card

* Previous experience in highways, groundworks, or similar environments preferred

* Willingness to work as part of a team and undertake physical duties

* Additional tickets (e.g. CSCS, NRSWA) are advantageous

The Role:

This is not a pure driving position, you will be expected to get involved on-site and support the crew with day-to-day maintenance works.
