HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver , LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .

Shifts
• Four shifts over seven days
• 12-hour shifts
• PM start times between 17:00 – 18:00
• Rolling three-week rota Rates of Pay • £18.60 - £39.96 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive:

• Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards and UK road networks Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of twelve months' Category CE driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided
