Immediate Starts Available About the Role Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 Day Driver for a well-established client based in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular weekday work with the potential to secure a permanent position. The role involves multi-drop deliveries to distribution centres, with collections completed later in the day. Drivers are responsible for loading and securing their own vehicle before departure.

Loads are delivered using side-tip or bay-tip trailers, with well-planned routes and an average shift length of around 10 hours.

Key Responsibilities Complete multi-drop deliveries to distribution centres Carry out collections throughout the afternoon Load and secure your vehicle using ratchets and straps Operate Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and professionally Deliver using side-tip and bay-tip trailers Carry out daily vehicle safety checks Complete delivery paperwork and PODs accurately Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations Requirements Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence held for at least 12 months Minimum 6 months' recent Class 1 driving experience Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card Digital Tachograph Card Confident loading and securing loads using ratchets and straps Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only) Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach Why Work With Recruit A Driver?
