Warehouse Operative Night Shift – Plymouth

This role supports Cencora’s wholesale distribution services in Europe via our Alliance Healthcare business.

• Operate warehouse management systems (Knapp and Manhattan) with precision.
• Perform order fulfilment tasks such as loading/unloading delivery vehicles, picking, packing, and shipping orders using automated systems and forklifts.
• Conduct inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation based on expiry dates (FEFO).
• Handle receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Work in refrigerated environments and secure areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Work at height, following safety protocols.
• Achieve productivity targets and KPIs while minimising product damages, order shortages, and pick errors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with automated systems.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training new team members and participate in skill‑enhancement programmes.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling or a related field.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations processes (receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, shipping).
• Knowledge of inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements.
• Knowledge of temperature‑controlled handling and cold chain support requirements.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices.
• Knowledge of shipment documentation, operational record‑keeping, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices and use of warehouse equipment and tools.
• Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs.
• Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action.
• Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities.
• Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to work with temperature‑sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
