Warehouse Shift Manager

We are currently seeking a Shift Manager, who'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our coldstore operations at our Bristol depot. Ensuring that our stock moves efficiently and safely. You'll be responsible for leading a team, managing resources, and delivering on performance targets.

Shift available:
Monday to Friday rotating from 6am-2pm & 2pm - 10pm.

• Team Leadership & Engagement
  - Lead and motivate a team of operatives, creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
• Days and Evenings Operations Management
  - Oversee end-to-end day and night operations including cross-docking, stock flow, and warehouse coordination.
• Planning & Resource Allocation
  - Develop shift plans and assign duties to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks.
• Performance Monitoring
  - Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies before they become issues.
• Health, Safety & Compliance
  - Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Lead accident investigations and ensure all procedures are followed.
• Operational Reporting
  - Maintain accurate shift reports and provide regular feedback to site leadership.
• Cross-Shift Collaboration
  - Ensure smooth shift handovers and consistent performance across the 24-hour operation.
• Employee Development
  - Conduct regular reviews and coach your team to support growth and development.

• Proven experience in warehouse or coldstore operations, ideally with supervisory or shift management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety, stock control, and team leadership.
• Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Clear communicator with the ability to engage and align teams.
• Calm under pressure, with a solution-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working in a coldstore environment (approx.
  
  -20°C - PPE provided).
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• MHE licence is desirable but not essential.
