Project Quantity Surveyor – Energy

Overview

Project Quantity Surveyor – Energy – South West – c £50-£55k + generous package. Sites are Solar Farms in Cardiff, Swansea and Exeter.

• Oversee three large Solar Farm projects; 2 x £30m, 1 x £45m.
• Visit each site every week and work with Project Managers to run the commercial functions for each site.
• Understand spend, advise on commercial decisions, and troubleshoot issues as they arise (for example any below ground problems such as encountering rock).
• Manage packages of work, coordinate internal staff and subcontractors, and be onsite to perform valuations and forecasts at the end of the month.
• Operate as a QS on high value projects, with emphasis on contractual terms; use their own form of contract based on JCT.

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience on high value projects.
• Experience with main contractor environments and contractual terms; familiarity with JCT-based contracts is preferred.
• Ability to visit multiple sites weekly and manage commercial activities across sites.

• Car allowance c £7,500 and a bonus up to 25% (approximately £9k).
