Project Planner – SRT Marine Systems plc
We are a market‑leading, international marine surveillance technology company headquartered in the UK with a global customer base ranging from national coast guards to individual vessel owners. As a Project Planner you will be part of our project delivery function, liaising with our UK offices and Global Project teams. The role is based in our Bristol office, with occasional travel to Cardiff and Bath, and offers hybrid working flexibility.
Responsibilities- Build project schedules from scratch covering full scope, milestones, timelines and resource allocation using critical‑path methodology.
- Define clear ownership for all project outcomes via Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Develop, manage and baseline project schedules, providing periodic updates.
- Identify and emphasise critical milestones for stakeholders to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare tailored views of the schedule for Executives, Supply Chain, Engineering and other business areas.
- Maintain a Resource Pool to ensure accurate allocation and profiling.
- Negotiate and mediate timelines and inter‑dependencies between key partners.
- Create consolidated, high‑quality views of the planning horizon (3‑12 months).
- Prepare status reports and dashboards including resource allocation and KPIs.
- Review external customer and in‑country partner schedules for best‑practice compliance.
- Support PMO with risk, opportunity, governance documentation, procurement and general administration.
- Previous experience in Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure or Manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience in a similar role with in‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Ability to interpret schedule status and align it with actual execution.
- Rapid identification of risks and opportunities in the schedule and driving appropriate actions.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience with international projects is desirable.
