SUPERVISOR - POKER
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol
OverviewUnder the direction of the Poker Room Manager, the incumbent implements procedures and monitors personnel performance to ensure smooth and efficient gaming operations in accordance with internal controls and the rules of the games. The role promotes positive guest and employee relations, assists guests learning to play, deals cards to casino standards, and upholds table security and game integrity.
Responsibilities- Oversee poker game operations and make table decisions as necessary.
- Know all policies and procedures for supervised game types.
- Resolve customer disputes and issue complimentary packages when appropriate.
- Oversee drop‑box pick‑ups.
- Supervise Poker Brush and provide indirect supervision of all other poker shift personnel.
- Direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate all shift personnel.
- Comply with all departmental and company policies, including Seminole Gaming’s ethics guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Prepare and submit player rating information.
- Control games while ensuring that all game rules and regulations are followed.
- Answer customer questions on Poker Room rules and regulations, staying abreast of entertainment and general information.
- Refer customer disputes to the Poker Room Shift Manager when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of Seminole Gaming trade secrets, business processes, customer lists, and marketing plans.
- Create a safe, professional, friendly work environment that fosters productivity and morale.
- Ensure overall cleanliness and comfort of assigned area.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years of poker experience.
- Knowledge of all primary poker games, direct variants, and most secondary games.
- Effective at directing activities of others, dealing with the public, and understanding all aspects of Poker Room Operations.
- Capable of making independent decisions, communicating with all staff levels, trustworthy, and functioning in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organizational, interpersonal, and team‑oriented skills.
- Obtain and maintain all required licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
- Successfully pass background check and drug screening.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed.
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, regulations.
- Hard Rock operations.
- Company policies and procedures; ability to identify cheating techniques.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations.
- Work varying shifts and schedules flexibly.
