Dietitian - 1st Shift

Purpose of Position:

The purposeof this position is to provide expert advice to facility staff to establish and maintain systems that are effective and efficient to operate the dietary department and provide food service to residents ina cost-effective, efficient manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

• Minimum of aBachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dieteticsand licensed in Nutrition/Dietetics as required by the applicable state.

• Develop and make recommendations to implement dietary and food service policies and procedures to meet residents' needs and in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Assist the food service supervisor to determine the personnel requirements for the dietary department and to make recommendations for sufficient staff to implementdietary and food service policies and procedures.
• Develop a monitoring system for the dietary and food service department and makeall recommendations for implementation to assure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Develop menus to meet residents'dietary needs.
• Assist the food service supervisor to assess residents' dietary needs and develop appropriate dietary plans in compliance with physician's orders.
