Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a new accelerated cladding remediation programme based in Bristol. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing project teams and supply chain partners to deliver compliant capital and retrofit works to the highest standards of quality, safety, budget, and programme.
You will provide strong operational leadership across multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships.
About the CompanyOur client is a nationwide business specialising in the Social Housing sector. They deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works, and Retrofit services in partnership with Local Authorities and Housing Associations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Champion the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management
- Lead and monitor project strategies to support sustainability objectives
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risk
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
- Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing teams
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and project teams
- Ensure effective complaint handling and defect management strategies
- Drive quality throughout the project lifecycle, targeting zero defects at handover
- Support and promote organisational sustainability commitments
- Extensive project management experience in a similar environment, including resource and cost control
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, particularly external façade and fire remediation schemes
- Strong knowledge of curtain walling, external cladding systems, fire protection systems, groundworks, and concrete repairs
- Experience delivering retrofit projects to PAS
2035 or similar standards - Background in delivering capital works and large-scale projects through subcontract and supply chain models
- Excellent leadership and team development skills, with experience managing project managers and site teams
- Strong understanding of construction operations and associated sectors
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and statutory requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS qualification and knowledge of safe systems of work
- Scaffold inspection qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
- First Aid at Work certificate
