Operations Support Manager – Bristol Airport
Aviation recruitment experts Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for an Operations Support Manager to join a major aviation services contract at Bristol Airport
.
This is a key leadership support role, working closely with the General Manager and Operations Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery, strong financial control, and excellent people management across a fast-paced airport operation.

Key Duties:- Operational & Financial Performance
Support day-to-day operational performance in line with agreed budgets and KPIs;
Assist in controlling costs while maintaining SLA delivery;
Identify smarter working methods to improve productivity and net cost performance - Service Delivery & Client Engagement
Ensure consistently high service standards for passengers and airline partners;
Monitor passenger feedback and support responses to complaints;
Attend client, airline, and stakeholder meetings, proactively resolving issues;
Maintain strong working relationships with key airport and contract stakeholders - Management & Team Support
Support the development of a motivated, high-performing operational team;
Drive understanding of individual and team responsibilities;
Assist Operations Managers and Duty Managers with performance management, attendance, and disciplinary processes;
Provide operational resilience across FOH and BOH teams during sickness and annual leave - Resource Planning
Work alongside resource planning teams to develop effective shift patterns;
Ensure labour is deployed flexibly and cost-effectively to meet operational demand - Health, Safety & Compliance
Support the delivery of high standards in Health, Safety, Quality and Environment;
Ensure compliance with company policies across HR, training, finance, safety and security;
Represent the business professionally with regulators, unions, service partners and airport authorities - Reporting & Data
Support production of daily, weekly and monthly operational reports;
Assist with Power BI data analysis and performance reporting;
Support incident investigations, delay reporting, absenteeism analysis and CAA / ECAC quality reporting
Minimum 2 years’ management experience, ideally within aviation, logistics or a similar operational environment;
Previous experience in a support or operational management role is desirable;
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
Confident using Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems;
Flexible, proactive and solutions-focused approach;
Must be over 18 and have the Right to Work in the UK
