Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. The Associate prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. The Associate maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Pay rate is $14.00 an hour. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Have desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
  • Properly set up and prepare event tables for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
  • Physical Demands: The associate will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach up to 65 inches overhead, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladder, maintain balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
  • Physical Appearance: Meet professional appearance and proper grooming as per retailer dress code.

    Skills:

    English primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
