Medical Response Tech - Security

MEDICAL RESPONSE TECH - SECURITY at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol

Under the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, the Medical Response Tech Officer provides basic protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees and the company. They exhibit an outgoing, friendly, customer‑oriented personality at all times.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain security throughout the entire property.
• Assist in the coordination of emergency situations.
• Provide emergency medical care within the limits of certification.
• Disinfect and maintain cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies and treatment rooms as per daily assignments.
• Conduct oneself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Patrol casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.
• Complete thorough documentation of all medical calls.
• Complete all required checklists for inventory and inspection of supplies and equipment.
• Notify a supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies, and note supplies that require replenishing.
• Replace supplies as necessary and report missing supplies to a supervisor.
• Perform work regularly and adhere to all Virginia Lottery Regulations.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must promote a friendly, customer‑oriented personality at all times.
• Must provide adequate protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees, and the company.
• Must handle emergency situations calmly.
• Must wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations.
• Must be willing to appropriately handle bodily fluids and possibly hazardous situations.
• Must have a valid Motor Vehicle License with a good driving record.

Knowledge of:

• Computer applications to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
• All applicable licensing and certification requirements.

Ability to:

• Work different types of events with varying schedules, including weekends and evenings.
• Read and comprehend all necessary documentation, training materials, and policy information.
• Assist sick or injured guests and/or team members.
• Communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with guests and all levels of team members.
• Use tools and equipment such as radios, computers, and other position‑specific equipment.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in English with guests.
• Work within company established policies and guidelines.
