About the Role

A supportive and inclusive Lambeth primary school is seeking an experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to work closely with a Year 5 pupil with SEMH needs from 23rd February.

The pupil requires consistent adult support to help manage emotional regulation, maintain focus during lessons, and navigate social interactions. This role involves building a strong, trusting relationship while implementing clear behaviour strategies and supporting access to the KS2 curriculum.

The school has established routines and SEN systems in place, and you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure consistent, structured support throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a One-to-One Teaching Assistant who:

Has prior experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs

Is confident managing challenging behaviour calmly and safely

Understands trauma-informed or restorative approaches

Can set clear boundaries while remaining supportive

Is resilient, patient, and reliable

Experience in KS2 and working within a mainstream setting is highly desirable.
