A high-performing, two-form entry primary school in Lambeth is seeking a skilled and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The school has a proactive approach to SEND, with clear support plans and regular communication between teachers, SENCO and support staff.

The Role

The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support to a KS2 pupil with additional needs within a mainstream classroom.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering structured one-to-one support

Implementing strategies outlined in the pupil's support plan

Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Monitoring progress and providing feedback

The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can maintain high expectations while offering consistent, calm support.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:

Have prior experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary setting

Be confident working within clear routines and behaviour systems

Remain calm and consistent under pressure

Communicate effectively with teaching staff and parents

Be committed to long-term impact rather than short-term support

Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or social, emotional and mental health needs would be advantageous.
