Construction Studies Lecturer
Department: Academic/Bath Spa University partnership (BSU)
Location: Greenford or Stratford (On‑Site)
Salary: £55,000
Contract Type: Full‑Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

The roleLecturer in Construction Management—teaching across undergraduate levels within the BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. Flexibility required for weekday, evening, and weekend sessions.
Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What you’ll be doingDeliver modules on the principles and practices of construction management, covering legal, environmental, and technological contexts. Develop and deliver course materials, facilitate learning, assessment, and keep current with industry developments.
Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes.
- Develop, update, and improve course materials.
- Use varied teaching methods and materials.
- Engage in staff development, peer observations, meetings, and administrative duties.
- Stay updated with latest field developments and student support practices.
- Work toward clear objectives for student attendance, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject (PhD desirable).
- Have UK HE lecturing experience in the subject area.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Accurate reporting and thorough record‑keeping.
- Work under pressure, plan, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within probation.
- Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
