Head of Financial Reporting & Control – PE-Backed Consumer Group

Baker Charles is partnering with a private equity–backed consumer group to appoint a Head of Financial Reporting & Control. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is a leadership role with responsibility for statutory reporting integrity, audit delivery, and financial control across a complex, multi-entity structure.

The business is growing and operationally diverse, and this appointment will play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, enhancing the control framework, and ensuring high-quality external reporting. You will take full ownership of the statutory and audit agenda, acting as the primary technical interface with auditors and tax advisers, while supporting the wider finance function in maintaining best-in‑class reporting standards. This role will also have a lot of exposure to the board including CFO, CEO and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally with experience within a Top 10 audit firm and a strong track record in statutory reporting and audit delivery within a complex, multi‑entity environment. You will bring deep UK GAAP expertise, experience managing multiple audits simultaneously, and the credibility to challenge and defend technical positions with confidence.
