About the Role The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Safe Engineer to join its maintenance team, delivering gas servicing, repairs, and safety works across social housing properties in the Brixton area.
This is a static position, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work within a well-established local authority environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs in occupied social housing properties
Completing gas safety checks and issuing relevant certification
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely
Ensuring all works comply with current gas safety regulations and legislation
Accurately completing job reports and compliance documentation
Providing a professional and customer-focused service to residents
Working in line with health and safety requirements at all times
Essential Requirements
Gas Safe registered (essential)
Valid ACS certificates
Proven experience working as a Gas Engineer, ideally within social housing
Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good communication and customer service skills
Own vehicle preferred
