  • Salary: £170.00 to £260.00 per day (in line with your current pay scale)
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time

Academics are currently supporting a large school in Thanet in appointing a suitably qualified Teacher of Design and Technology. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive Design and Technology department and create outstanding learning opportunities. The successful applicant will be required to teach a range of Design Technology subjects to KS3 and KS4. There is the possibility to teach KS5 for suitable applicants.

Responsibilities

Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, developing and delivering inspiring lessons, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum, and potentially leading KS5 classes where appropriate.

Requirements
  • Have experience teaching DT subject areas to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be a motivated teacher who inspires pupils and works with colleagues to develop the delivery of the DT curriculum
  • Be innovative and resourceful in delivering curriculum
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
  • Be flexible, collaborative and resilient
  • Have high expectations of pupils, the school and yourself
