The maintenance technician completes assigned duties at the Lower School Campus (1551 East Wallings Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147) as directed by the Facilities Manager. As a valued member of our community, this position is crucial to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for our students and staff. The schedule may vary during summer, student break periods, non-school days, and occasional scheduling needs.

JOB DUTIES:
- Provide routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, door hardware) with minimal interruptions or distractions to teachers, students, staff, visitors, or events that may be in progress
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic building system issues within scope of training and qualifications
- Assist with furniture assembly, relocation, and delivery of supplies and equipment
- Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events and activities
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work spaces in a safe and orderly condition
- Support custodial tasks as needed, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND
SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance tools (e.g., hand tools, ladders, power tools, floor scrubber, snow blower)
- Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals appropriately
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Must pass fingerprinting and background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in school or commercial building maintenance
- Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry tasks
