Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM), Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is hiring a Psychiatrist – Acute Care to join our growing team. Our values and mission drive our stronghold of excellence in patient care, education, and research. Newly trained and/or experienced psychiatrists are welcome to apply. Psychiatrists are members of the faculty at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM).
Brockton Behavioral Health Center is a 112‑bed facility opened in October 2022 to address mental health and substance use disorders, including co‑occurring conditions. The hospital consists of 80 acute inpatient beds and 32 Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) beds. BMC’s mission to provide comprehensive, holistic care helps fill an unmet need in Massachusetts. The BMC Brockton Behavioral Health Center (BBHC) Inpatient Psychiatric Service offers referral‑only (primarily referred from other providers, including Emergency Departments), 24‑hour/7‑day care for patients who need secure psychiatric treatment in an acute inpatient setting.
Services are available to all eligible patients regardless of their ability to pay. We care for patients across the full spectrum of psychiatric conditions.

Job Requirements- Medical Degree
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry required
- Preference for Board eligible/certified in Psychiatry
Boston University School of Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. Salary range: $228,648 – $360,078
. The final salary will be based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget.
