Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography Technologist provides technical skills to support the department mission. The technologist performs mammography exams for the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury in patients of all ages. Duties may also include work in other modalities as necessary.
Education- Completion of a two‑year post‑high school program in an accredited radiologic technology school.
- MSRT/ARRT (M) certification required.
- State radiology/mammography license required.
- All applicable radiology/mammography education requirements must be fulfilled.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology and mammography principles and procedures, and operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, provide instruction to students, and supervise staff technologists.
