Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Turnover Technician in Brockton, MA.

Our recently renovated Brockton Hospital is a modern healthcare facility with a focus on superior patient care and safety. Following extensive renovations, the hospital is equipped with an advanced infrastructure to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community.

• Determine priorities to complete assigned duties within a narrow scope of policies and procedures.
• Perform specific skills in a sterile environment.
• Apply proper cleaning techniques according to standards.
• Respect patient rights by maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist in moving and positioning patients.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room as directed; obtain specialty beds as needed.
• Transport specimens as required.
• Run errands that support patient care activity.
• Maintain a safe and orderly patient care environment; keep hallways, fire exits, and storage areas clear and organized.
• Demonstrate competency in utilizing specific equipment required for patient care, including positioning devices, specialty tables, and maintenance of all tanks.
• Restock supplies in OR rooms, sub‑sterile rooms, C‑section room daily and as needed according to par levels; exchange storeroom supplies, solutions, and IV carts.
• Perform a daily instrument order and restock sterile instruments from SPD.
• Inventory and stock closet E, anesthesia carts, pediatric carts, C‑section room, cleaning supplies, and linens according to departmental needs.
• Assist with room turnover by performing environmental cleaning, removing and adding case‑specific equipment/supplies, changing anesthesia circuits, and installing soda lime.
• Respond to real or simulated emergency and disaster situations according to hospital policy.
• Demonstrate organizational skills and appropriately prioritize assigned work; anticipate actions based on O.R. schedule and patient flow.
• Provide general cleaning of common areas: lounge, offices, locker rooms, etc.

• Initiate terminal cleaning of Operating Rooms as schedule allows.
• Communicate effectively and report relevant observations.
• Maintain equipment inventory and cleaning of equipment.
• Clean anesthesia scopes: laryngoscope blades, flexible scopes.

• Employ established methods, procedures, and standards of cleanliness using equipment such as dry and wet mops, dusters, pails, buffing, vacuums, and various cleansing soaps, solutions, germicidal agents, ladders, carts, and small hand tools.
• Perform dry mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting walls, floors, doors, windows, and other surfaces; polish brass, stainless steel, and other smooth surfaces; apply finishes.
• Arrange work schedules to allow cleaning of discharge units, including beds, walls, curtains, furniture, and bathrooms as needed during the day.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as burnishers, area vacuums, and automatic floor care machines; perform duties involving moving, lifting, and other heavy physical effort.
• Remove waste in all containers; transport and move furniture and equipment in and out of rooms and storage areas; clean equipment as directed.
• Maintain supplies in floor closets; transport cleaning equipment between hospital locations; deliver ice; transport linen carts as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• Certification/Licensure:
  Basic Life Support (Heart Saver) is required.
