Behavioral Technician – Part‑time
Mentor South Bay, a division of Sevita, offers Early Intervention, ABA, Behavioral Health, and Mental Health Outpatient services across Massachusetts and Connecticut. Responsibilities- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships by building rapport with each client.
- Follow treatment plan goals and interventions using sound judgment and seek appropriate consultation.
- Collaborate with families and treatment team members to provide behavior‑management techniques effectively while minimizing disruption.
- Educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested.
- Promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem‑solving skills.
- Review progress objectively using behavior analytic methods, identify barriers, and make recommendations to supervisors and behavior analysts.
- Accurately collect behavior data (A‑B‑C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter‑response time, event, interval‑based recording).
- Ensure all documentation, both staff and client related, is completed promptly and accurately.
- Complete incident reports as required by agency policy.
- Review daily updates for clients (new programs, access level changes, scheduled sessions) and implement programs, training staff as needed.
- Communicate with staff to ensure proper implementation and retraining.
- Schedule and prepare leisure activities to keep clients engaged when therapy sessions are not in session.
- Attend clinical meetings (access review, clinical team meetings, progress conferences).
- Provide up‑to‑date residential status of participants and implement solutions based on clinical recommendations.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum age 21.
- Preferred experience in a related field.
- RBT credential preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
- Strong listening skills with empathy while providing guidance.
- Hourly rate $20.00–$25.30 (based on experience).
- New‑hire bonus: $1,000.
