Sr Press Brake Operator

Position Description / Minimum Qualifications

• Set up and operate one or more of the following equipment:
  Press Brake, Hardware machines, Shear, Punch Press, Time Saver.
• Work independently to set up, perform first-piece inspection, take quality measurements and make adjustments throughout the production run, delivering quality product to the next operation.
• Use various gauges and measurement tools to set up machine and measure work.
• Produce parts according to blueprint specifications.
• Record information and time as required.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general upkeep of machines.
• Ensure efficient workflow with awareness of product schedules and material flow.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding the need for fixtures and/or the quality of the equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow prescribed safety rules and company policies at all times.

In-depth knowledge of set-up and operation of Amada press brake RG series with NC9-EX2 controls. Prior experience working with angle bending modes and depth modes. Ability to calculate a cut size. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to record workflow router data.

Physical requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Assistance required for any greater weights. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibration and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
