Geriatric Behavioral Health
Schedule:
Rotating Days/Evenings (7a-3p and 3p-11p), Rotating Weekends About the Geriatric Behavioral Health Department
4BH is a 16 bed Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. The patient population consists of patients with neurocognitive disorders including but not limited to Alzheimer's, Dementia, Failure to Thrive, Parkinson's with Behavioral Disturbances. Prospective candidates for this unit must demonstrate culture competence and professional integrity in the pursuit of optimal patient care. Prime candidates will also enjoy the variety of clinical and behavioral experiences Behavioral Healthcare provides.
PositionSummary
As an RN in the Geriatric Behavioral Health Department, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
- Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred);
Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required. - Licenses/Certifications: Current RN Massachusetts license & BLS required
- Experience: 1+ years of RN in a behavioral health setting preferred

$38.10 - $77.63
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
