Base Pay Range$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door of the store for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
- Assist and coach other team members with the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
- Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist the manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and in reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package).
- Assist the manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities in basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed by team members.
- Perform basic department pricing and daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed to support accurate pricing. Complete additional pricing tasks related to local regulations or regulatory compliance programs within required time frames.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as needed or requested.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the store is clean, neat, and orderly and by requesting repairs as required.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures; use first‑in, first‑out for consumable items and stock rotation.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
- Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., proactive help, needs identification, servicing until satisfied).
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of employment for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
