Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Soni's client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting to support day-to-day accounting operations. The Staff Accountant will assist with financial reporting, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to grow technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and record journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or closely related field)
- Basic understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Internship or 1–2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)
- Progress toward CPA or interest in pursuing CPA
- Experience with financial reporting or audits
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and integrity
- Time management and prioritization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Office or hybrid setting
- Standard business hours with additional hours during close periods
$65,000 to $80,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications
