The Graphic Designer visually communicates the Gospel and the message of Battle Creek Church through print and digital design.

Every day looks different, but here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be up to:

• Ensure projects fit with brand guidelines and are of high quality. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensures on-time, on-budget results.
• Participate in the creative process and execution for sermon series and special events. Plan designs by studying the need and style of each ministry. Contribute to the creative team on project ideations and execution for other ministries.
• Collaborate with creative team for all-hands-on-deck projects. This could include but is not limited to capturing photos, helping on video shoots, and being at events for design updates.
• Demonstrate fluency in Adobe Creative Suite. Good understanding of color, line, composition, and design.
• Perform other church duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Ministry Strategy to help all people, of all ages, at all times, advance in their journey with Christ.

• Education & Experience:
  
  We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (but it is not required) and at least 3‑5 years of experience in graphic design. Having ministry experience in a multi‑site environment is an added plus!

• Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to interact/collaborate with credibility and advise diverse personalities through tactful, mature and flexible communication and relationships.
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Able to independently and creatively utilize problem‑solving skills and available resources to arrive at desired outcomes.
• Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while recognizing and supporting the organization's goals and objectives.
• Takes ownership of position competencies continuously striving to serve others, collaborate and complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor with excellence.

Depending on the role, you might find yourself in an office, on stage, out in the community, or working behind the scenes. Evening and weekend hours may be required—it’s all part of ministry life!

This role is primarily office‑based but may involve some physical activity, including standing, lifting (up to 20 pounds), kneeling, setting up equipment, or prepping for events—sometimes even late ’t worry; we’ll ensure you know what to expect!
