Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • Engage with guests who need assistance to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit
  • Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App, including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; assist guests with enrollment and usage
  • Process returns following store policies; collaborate with leadership as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area; gather unpurchased items for removal
  • Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties in compliance with laws and policies
  • All other duties based on business needs

  • Ability to operate multiple devices and handheld scanners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Maintaining focus and composure in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks
We Also Expect
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and, as needed, support cash office operations
  • Safely handle and move merchandise (frequent lifting up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 44 pounds)
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
