IT Operations Technician

Overview

This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. Epic Hosting is looking for an IT Operations Technician to monitor the hosting infrastructure stack and respond swiftly to problems. You will use investigative and troubleshooting skills across a variety of tools to identify and resolve routine and complex network, hardware, virtualization, and presentation problems.

• Monitor the hosting infrastructure stack and respond promptly to incidents
• Use investigative and troubleshooting skills across tools to identify and resolve routine and complex network, hardware, virtualization, and presentation problems
• Coordinate with contacts from healthcare organizations to assess impact, communicate issues, and perform system builds
• Collaborate with the team on timely problem resolution and improvements

• Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
• A history of academic and professional success
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, initiative, and leadership abilities
• Available to work second or third shift hours
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• COVID-19 vaccination

• Knowledge of Internet networking protocols and tools like TCP/IP, ping, and trace route
• Knowledge of Linux, especially Ubuntu, Redhat, or CentOS
• CompTIA+, CCNA, Network+, or Linux+ certification
• Knowledge of VMware
