POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Logistics Manager assists the Senior Director of Supply Chain in leading and overseeing all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to ensure the accurate delivery and distribution of Paragon Film’s products and materials to our customer base while ensuring efficient operations of Logistics team. This role implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.

The Corporate Logistics Manager also fosters a collaborative relationship with vendors and internal customers while exemplifying Paragon’s core values, our culture and our mission statement.

RESPONSIBILITIES/

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversees the corporate logistics department and works closely with production planning and shipping teams at each plant facility to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to Paragon’s customers.
  • Oversees distribution and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides strategic input on process improvements and opportunities that will provide cost savings and improve efficiencies within department and how customer demands might be more efficiently and accurately met.
  • Establishes strong and effective relationships with vendors and negotiates rates while monitoring service levels and performance, addressing issues and works to find resolution to issues that arise.
  • Ensures Department maintains LTL Carrier files with required information.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods for both national and international shipments, notifying appropriate parties of areas of concern.
  • Utilizes analytics to forecast demand, measure performance and achieve high level of performance at optimal cost to ensure business objectives for Paragon Films.
  • Manages and reports cost changes, shipment issues, supply concerns to respective management and team in timely manner.
  • Develop departmental budget and monitor costs to ensure maximum pricing and profitability to achieve Paragon financial goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability
  • Ability to grasp and understand concepts of warehouse management and logistics operations
  • Strong math skills with understanding of basic concepts, addition, subtraction, fractions, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven negotiation skills with ability to achieve desired end-result
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with progressive levels of responsibilities
  • Well organized, ability to prioritize and self-motivated; ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once and handle unexpected delays while maintaining constant attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to deliver presentations to various groups
  • High level attention to detail and problem-solving ability; excellent discernment when evaluating situations and working to find resolution to issues that arise
  • Practice and promote teamwork and servant leadership style within the organization
  • High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelors Degree in Logistics/Transportation/Warehouse Management or related or four years of related experience in large volume manufacturing environment
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with Mexico and International logistics
  • Microsoft AX experience preferred
  • Power BI experience is preferred
  • 4+ years related experience in a manufacturing or production environment strongly preferred
