Blackroom Operator

Join our manufacturing team as a Blackroom Operator!
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to mix and prepare raw materials that support our millroom operations. This hands-on position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and keeping production running efficiently.

Read and interpret job travelers and picklists to prepare and mix batches accurately.

Operate and monitor internal mixers; adjust controls to maintain consistency and quality.

Assist in millroom operations—feed materials, monitor rollers, and adjust batches as needed.

Label ingredients with proper Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Safely transfer materials using a forklift and complete related documentation in Epicor (MRP system).

Follow First In/First Out (FIFO) inventory practices.

Support team members and complete other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Basic math skills and the ability to follow formulas and mixing charts.

3+ years of experience working with heavy machinery preferred.

Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Occasionally: Lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs., reach overhead, operate forklift.

Frequently: Walk, lift, calculate, and communicate effectively.

Constantly: Stand, handle materials, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
