Job Overview: Operates multiple production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses. May require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
- Inspect parts to specifications; adjust or perform tool changes as necessary to maintain quality.
- Set up and operate production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and timely.
- Make suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area per Hubbell’s 6S policy.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from lead person and production supervisors.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect own work for conformity to standards.
- Assist in other areas as necessary.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices.
- Positive attitude toward work, striving for maximum production and quality.
- Self‑motivated initiative to improve quantity, quality, and efficiency with co‑workers.
